Former IAS officer Sahadeb Sahoo inaugurated the programme in presence of District Governor Rotarian Bhabani Prasad Choudhury, N K Mishra and club president Tanmay Mohanty.
The programme comes under the broad objective of disease prevention, early detection and
treatment of the club. It aims at promoting healthy living in the society.
Hundreds of elderly people participated in the health camp and it will be held each Sunday from 7 am to 9 am on its premises. Weekly free yoga classes for persons of all age groups will begin from July 22. The club also plans to start free dental, ENT and ECG check-ups for city residents, they said.
Rotary International has six focus areas within its framework under which major activities including health programmes are being carried out by the the Rotary Clubs across the world.
