Consultations by Stakeholders on Safety of Women & Children’ started in Bhubaneswar

At national workshop on ‘Nation wide Consultations by Stakeholders on Safety of Women & Children’ started in Police Bhavan Bhubaneswar. Odisha Police, UNICEF and Indian Police Foundation jointly organised the event. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik joined the program as chief guest and praised the 15-day social awareness campaign #PareePainKathatiye by Odisha Police for raising awareness on child sexual abuse & sensitizing it’s personnel on steps for it’s prevention.

CM urged Odisha Police to continue the Paree campaign for helping address various social evils and create awareness about heinous crimes against women and girl child. CM also sought prompt, effective and exemplary action against anti-socials and criminals in the society.

CM released the coffee table book ‘Paree Pain Kathatiye – A Word for The Little Angel’ & a documentary film on #Paree. CM congratulated all stakeholders at the workshop and thanked UNICEF India for its continued support for the cause of women & children in Odisha.

Minister for Home Captain Dibya Shankar Mishra and DGP Dr R P Sharma were present on the occasion.
